NOTE.-Columns 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, are taken from the Companion to the British Almanac for 1843, page 192. Column 3 is taken from the Companion to the British Almanac for 1846, page 205. The remaining columns are calculations. A trifling discrepancy exists between the area and population as stated above, and the total amount of each as given in the Census; but it is too small to affect the proportion sensibly.
