And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days? that they might accuse him. 9 Luke Then Jesus said unto them, I will ask you one thing, Is it lawful on the Sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? To save life, or to destroy it? Mar. And he saith unto them, 1 Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath days, or to do evil? To save life, or to kill? Mar. But they held their peace. Mat. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the Sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days. Mar. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, He saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, Mar. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, himself; How shall then his kingdom stand? Mat. And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Mat. Or else, how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, Except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. 30 31 32 27 Mar. He that is not with me, is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Mat. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; But the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Mar. Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme; But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
